We source our timber from Australian forestry Standard (AFS) certified Sustainable Forest Management forests in Australia.

Most of Sydney Flooring’s floorboards are sourced from Australian producers under the principles of Ecological Sustainable Forest Management.

This is a system developed to sustain the full range of commercial and conservation values of the natural forest diversity with ecological limits, for current and future generations.

Australian Forestry Standard defines Sustainable Forest Management as “Optimising the tangible and intangible social and economic benefits which forest can provide the community, with the goals of maintaining functional basis of forested land, biodiversity and the option available for future generations.” Source: Australian Forest Certification Scheme (AFCS)
